Hello Sunshine!

Spring has barely arrived that NARS is rolling out it’s summer collection! Although you might be wondering… why? Well there is one little product that I’ve snatched up and put in my photo makeup kit to create glowy skin!

If you’ve been following my blog, you probably know by now that I love to create glowy looks. I have a whole arsenal of bronzers, contour powders and creams, that I like to layer to create that “I-just-came-back-from-vacation-look”, which suits everyone who doesn’t want to look makeup-y. And if you were fretting, like me, fear not: it’s a permanent product!

When I got a press release from the people at NARS about the Laguna liquid bronzer, I was all revved up and on the first of April, baby, I hit that counter!

Up to now my impression is: it’s a great product for the NW 10 to 40 crowd, who by this time of year are quite pale! It has a golden undertone, and there is also a slight shimmer in it. It looks great on skin that hasn’t seen the sun, as well as on Asian skin tones. It spreads very evenly so you can use it directly if you want to fake a tan, or you can mix with your foundation, or apply it like you would a bronzing powder–and it’s very blendable. Once the bronzer dries, it sets on the skin really well.

If you don’t want to over-do it, I would suggest mixing it with a touch of moisturizing lotion or your foundation and applying it with a stippling brush (like the one in the picture from M.A.C., it’s from a past LE Rihanna collection ) to get a beautiful finish (and don’t forget the ears and neck).

Above you can find swatches of Laguna on it’s own, a tiny drop blended with my Gosh CC Cream in 02 Ivory, and a tiny drop with my moisturizer. It’s a very potent product, especially on pale NW 20 skin like mine.
