I’ve been getting quite bored with all the glamour and over the top-ness of fashion lately. And that is why I started this blog, because I wanted something more “real”. I can’t really say if it’s a fashionista thing of getting bored of a trend and then moving on… or maybe, we’re all getting tired of seeing super-gorgeous models, overdressed and over edited in fantasy tales of unattainable fashion.

But the appearance of Julia in a Givenchy ad, and the buzz that ensued, makes it quite evident that we’re all ready for the next step. Because we don’t all actually live in the fashion fantasy. We’re in this place where clothes have to work and have style. Granted, Julia is really far from being a real person, but she’s over 30 and she is rocking that Givenchy look. I predict more of this.
