The Magic

Tiara Time

There is nothing better than to send out a message that screams: Be a Queen and wear a tiara (fuck yeah)! The new bling ring was spotted on Saint Laurent and Miu Miu SS2016 runways. Both were dialing up the grunge hay days of Courtney Love and a touch of goth.

What can I say? Anything nineties gets my attention… So I got my new collaborators Robin Westfield, a photographer, and Clara, a model/dancer, to channel grunge with some lovely D.I.Y. headgear. Who would want to wear an actual diamond tiara??? Where would you go with your bodyguard? I say No! Rhinestones, baby, found at the dollar store or bridal shops.

First look is the classic grunge tartan shirt, with the classic rhinestone tiara. The shirt is by Noisy May, available at The Bay. If you are going for the grunge princess look, this is the way to go, mixing high and low. Tiara is from Rodin Entrepôt, and star bracelet turned into hair piece (dollar store, and some hair pins). On eyes, Lancôme fall 2015 collection. On lips, Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector by Clarins.

For the second look I got this TopShop dress at The Bay. The silver leopard print is just glitzy enough with a hint of trashy-ness, the look is channeling Hedi Slimane’ obsession with grunge. Again, clashing the rock’n’roll look with a messy uptown up-do with a tiara from Rodin Entrepôt, and hair piece found at the dollar store. Earrings Aldo, and ear piece Topshop, bracelets, from the dollar store. On lips, YSL Rouge Couture.

For the Third look, we went gothic grunge princess. I made the crown from scrap-booking wire. Necklace is vintage Harakiri, part of my personal jewelry collection. On eyes, Stila Magnificent Foil shadow in Gold at Sephora.
